Welcome to Illinois' premier outdoor shooting range - Buffalo Park Shooting Range. We feature a number of different ranges to accomodate your needs -
100 yard rifle range
10 yard and 15 yard pistol range
50 yard auxiliary range
Trap range
We are centrally located 5 miles west of Ottawa and 5 miles east of Utica near the Illinois River and the historic Starved Rock State Park. Click here for an interactive map and complete directions to our range.

Private Parties and Corporate Events

We are now taking reservations for private events at the range. Our private parties get the use of the range on one of the days were are normally closed.

Plinking Pit News (*Updated March 16, 2013*)

The plinking pit is still closed. We are still waiting for our FOURTH inspection of the pit. Once the pit is inspected, yet again, and the inspection report is approved by the states attorney general, we will immediately notify our shooters on our webpage and FaceBook page.

We are aware this is an inconvenience to our shooters and we are grateful for the continual support we have received from you during this trying time.

Buffalo Range Shooting Park is open from April through December. Range hours are -

March, April, May, June, July, August, Sept.
Monday and Friday : 9am - 5pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday : CLOSED
Saturday and Sunday : 9am - 6pm
October, November, December
Monday and Friday : 9am - 5pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday : CLOSED
Saturday and Sunday : 9am - 5pm
