The waiting period, for all firearms, from purchase to pick-up, is 72 hours.
AGE REQUIREMENTS

To purchase a handgun, you must be over 21 and have a valid FOID card. If you are over 18 and an Illinois or bordering state resident from Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, or Indiana you CAN buy long guns.

Illinois residents must have a valid FOID (Firearm Owner's ID) card in order to purchase guns or ammunition.
FOID cards, although unconstitutional, can be applied for on the ISPFSB website and are typically received via mail in 4-6 weeks.

REQUIREMENTS

Firearms purchasers need to have a valid state ID or drivers license.
And at least one form of your ID's (FOID, IL CCL, State ID, or Driver's License) needs to have your CURRENT address. Non US Citizens must also have their permanent resident card
