RANGE RULES

Failure to follow any of the Rules listed below for the ranges or Range Safety Officer commands, will be cause for immediate ejection from the property!

Eye and Ear Protection use is manditory at all times while on any of the ranges!
You must have your safety equipment ON before approaching the firing line!

The use of Tracer, Incendiary, Armor Piercing Incendiary,or Explosive bullets or targets is strictly forbidden and will be cause for ejection from the property!!!

No hand held clay throwers allowed on any of the Ranges!

Cameras and photography equipment are prohibited on Range property!




 

Rifle Range Rules

No Cameras or Photography Allowed!

Paper targets ONLY! All targets must have cardboard backers.
You must use paper targets attached to the cardboard backers when shooting. 
ALL CARDBOARD BACKERS WILL BE INSTALLED BY THE RSO'S ONLY USING RANGE SUPPLIED CARDBOARD!
NO RAPID FIRE-( 2 seconds between shots), HIP SHOTS, OFF HAND SHOTS OR PRONE POSITION SHOTS, NO CROSS SHOOTING OR SHOOTING TARGETS OTHER THAN YOUR OWN.
You must use the benches when shooting.

Range Safety Officers will call all Cease Fires.

During Cease Fire Conditions:
Firearms being moved along the firing line must be empty, action open and muzzle up.
Actions must be open and chambers clear and muzzles pointed downrange.
You must step back behind the line and keep away from the benches.

You must not handle any Firearm during the Cease Fire!!!

Keep Aisles and Walkways clear of equipment and gun cases.
Pick up your Trash and place it in the Trash cans provided.

Pistol Range Rules

No Cameras or Photography Allowed!

PAPER TARGETS ONLY!!!!!
All targets must have cardboard backers.
Cardboard backers will be installed by the RSO's only using Range supplied cardboard.

DO NOT attach targets to target stands or shoot at ground targets or Target Stands!

NO RAPID FIRE, HIP SHOTS,PRONE POSITION SHOOTING!
Firearms moveing along the firing line must be unloaded and muzles pointing up!

ABSOLUTELY NO RIFLES,CARBINES OR SHOTGUNS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PISTOL RANGE!

Absolutely NO Shotshells of any kind are allowed to be used on the handgun range at any time!

HANDGUNS ONLY!

All Cease Fires will be called by the RSO at the Rifle Range!
Listen for the horn, siren and PA!

During a Cease fire:
Actions must be open, chambers clear and muzzles downrange!
Shooters must step back from the benches and not handle firearms or load magazines.
Wait until Range is released before going down range to change targets!

Do not resume firing until the cease fire is cancelled by the RSO at the Rifle Range!

PLINKING PIT RULES

No Cameras or Photography Allowed!

Any size firearm my be used.
Targets you place in the Pit must be within the pit area and 5-10 feet below the upper barrier flags!
Do not place targets on top of the mid-pit berms.
No hanging targets or metal targets.
No heavy metal, glass, aerosols, toxics, explosive, incendiary, or targets that may cause a ricochet may be used!
Always ask the RSO on duty BEFORE placing any target into the Pit area.

Rapid fire is allowed as long as it is controlled and Down into the Plinking Pit and 10 feet Below the upper barriers.
No Crossfiring is allowed at any time!

THROWN TARGETS ARE LIMITED TO CLAY TARGETS AND CAN ONLY BE FIRED AT WITH A SHOTGUN USING #6,7,AND #8 SHOT!!!!!!!!!!
Tampering with or willful damage to clay throwers will be cause for IMMEDIATE and permanent ejection from the property!
Absolutely NO handheld clay throwers allowed at any time!

No loaded firearms allowed behind the firing line at any time, this includes loaded holstered Handguns!

All firearms must be transported to and from the firing line UNLOADED with muzzle up!
Muzzles must be up and firearms unloaded when transferring / moving a firearm along the firing line.
During Cease Fire conditions:
All firearms must be down or racked, muzzles pointing down range or up.
All actions must be open and chambers clear!

You must step back from the tables into the driveway and remain away until the Cease Fire is over!
You are not allowed to handle a firearm or approach the tables at any time during the Cease Fire!!!

Shotgun Range Rules

No Cameras or Photography Allowed!

Shoulder fired shotguns only!

The only shot sizes allowed on this range are,#6, #7, #8, and #9, Nothing else!

The Range Safety Officer at the Rifle Range will call the Cease Fire for the Shotgun Range!
You must Cease Fire while the Rifle Range shooters check and post targets.

Shooters are NOT ALLOWED to retrieve unbroken clay targets from the field in front of the shotgun range at any time!
Only clay targets are allowed on this range, nothing else!!!

During Cease Fire conditions:
 All actions must be open and chambers clear, firearms must be down or racked.
You must not handle firearms during the Cease Fire!

Absolutely NO handheld clay throwers allowed, you must use the throwers provided!
Tampering with or willful damage to clay throwers will be cause for IMMEDIATE and permanent ejection from the property!
If you are having problems with the clay throwers or one is broken , notify an RSO immediately! Do Not attempt to repair or adjust any of the clay throwers!

Pick up your Trash and put it in the containers provided or trash barrels.
Keep aisles and walkways clear of equipment.


Auxiliary Range Rules

This range is reserved for special events and large groups.
Use of this range is by permission of the Senior Range Safety Officer / Manager only and must be scheduled in advance.

These Rules are in place for your safety and the safety of the shooters around you. We want you as a shooter at our Range to have a safe and pleasant day enjoying the sport of target shooting. If you have any questions or safety concerns during your time at Buffalo Range please feel free to bring it to the attention of one of the Range Safety Officers on duty.
